Join the Team!
Hey friends! In exchange for a free copy of Hummer (the 30th anniversary edition), is anyone interested in writing a reader-review for Amazon and/or Good Reads? I'm looking to put together an Advanced Reader Team: a group of readers who have volunteered to read and review an advanced copy of my book. If you've read it before, even better! You can read the new version (I think you'll notice changes that you like), and write from the perspective of being a re-reader.
Before a book's release date, publishers send out Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) to reviewers and readers in exchange for an honest review of the book. The publisher may use parts of these reviews for promotion. By offering ARCs to readers, the author can be sure of reviews within the first few days of the book's release.
What are the benefits of being an early reviewer?
You get a free copy of my new book, plus get first dibs at reading it.
Is there a catch?
Ideally you will post your review on Amazon and Goodreads on release date (November 26, 2021). The success of a new release often depends on reviews, so I will be depending on you.
What if I don't love it?
No problem. I'm asking for honest reviews. All reviews build "book buzz" and that's the goal.
Does it have to be a big, fancy, thorough, sophisticated 3,000 word review worthy of the New York Times?
Yes. No. Just kidding. Of course not. A few sentences is enough. You're just encouraging other potential readers, which means all you have to do is be you and say a few words (or more if that's you).
How do I join?
